Why it’s called Golden Day
October 24th is the first day of early voting and the last day to register to vote and still be able to vote in this election. That’s why it’s called Golden Day. It’ll be a joyful celebration of our right to vote — join us, and bring friends!
The route
It’s a short walk down Court Street:
- Meet: Broome County Courthouse, 92 Court St.
- March to: Broome County Public Library, 185 Court St.
Saturday, October 24: three ways to show up
Golden Day is a busy one, and you can’t be in two places at once — so take your pick:
- 11:00 AM — Weekly Saturday protest, sidewalk in front of Denny’s by BU, Vestal
- NOON — Golden Day march to early vote, meet at the Broome County Courthouse, downtown
- 12:30 PM — Visibility Bridge Brigade, McDonald’s parking lot just off I-81, Exit 13B
The 11:00 protest in Vestal and the noon march downtown overlap, so do one or the other. Whichever you choose — vote early.
Not registered yet? You can register at any early voting location on October 24th and vote the same day. See Early Voting Begins for all four locations, the full schedule, and mail-in ballot details.
