Weekly Saturday Protest — In Front of Denny's (by BU)

Stand with Indivisible Binghamton every Saturday at 11:00 AM on the sidewalk in front of Denny's, next to BU. High-traffic spot — bring a sign and make some noise. The war and government waste are on a lot of minds — bring a sign!

Every Saturday at 11:00 AM

Indivisible Binghamton is holding a standing weekly protest on the sidewalk in front of Denny’s, right next to Binghamton University. We picked this spot because it gets steady traffic — lots of eyeballs on our creative signs, and a real chance to be seen.

Sign ideas to get you started

Bring the wonderful variety of signs you’ve made over the past year. If you want a place to start, the war and government waste are on a lot of minds — here are a couple of ideas:

U.S. Govt = Reflecting Pool Ugly, swampy, corrupt 16 million taxpayer $ wasted

War in Iran Officially Illegal War Powers Act says so

What to bring

  • A sign — homemade is best. We’ll have spares if you don’t have one ready.
  • Weather gear — we’re out there rain or shine.
  • A friend or two — the more of us, the louder the message.

Why we’re showing up

However many people turn out, it’s important to maintain a consistent public presence. This is a chance for anyone so inclined to do something visible in the face of everything that’s going on.

We picked a weekend and a weekday (see our Friday protest) to cast the widest net for participation. We’ll start with these times and locations and adjust as we go.

Hope to see you there.
