Weekly Friday Protest — Harry L & Reynolds

NEW TIME AND PLACE — the Friday protest now meets at 4:00 – 5:00 PM on the northeast corner of Harry L Drive and Reynolds Road, in front of Papa John's. This week the focus is saying thanks for voting.

Every Friday at 4:00 – 5:00 PM — new time, new corner

📍 WE HAVE MOVED. The Friday protest now runs 4:00 – 5:00 PM (it was 4:30 – 5:30) on the northeast corner of Harry L Drive and Reynolds Road, in front of Papa John’s — no longer the sidewalk across from Wegmans. Same Fridays, same signs, better corner.

Focus for Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7: THANKS FOR VOTING. This week both weekly protests are about saying thank you for voting — the turnout is what made the difference. We have signs to share, or bring your own.

Indivisible Binghamton holds a standing weekly protest every Friday. We picked this corner because it gets steady traffic from every direction — lots of eyeballs on our creative signs, and a real chance to be seen.

Sign ideas to get you started

Bring the wonderful variety of signs you’ve made over the past year — and if you don’t have one, we have signs to share. Any issue you care about is welcome. These are the ideas the chapter used through the election push:

Get Ready for the Largest Early Vote in American History!

Celebrate Our Democratic Power in Overwhelming Numbers!

Too Big to Steal — Massive Numbers of Early Votes!

MAGA Is Trying to Block Our Votes!

Do Not Let Them Silence You — Vote Early!

We Will Not Stay Home! Vote Early

What to bring

  • A sign — homemade is best. We’ll have spares if you don’t have one ready.
  • Weather gear — we’re out there rain or shine.
  • A friend or two — the more of us, the louder the message.

Why we’re showing up

However many people turn out, it’s important to maintain a consistent public presence. This is a chance for anyone so inclined to do something visible in the face of everything that’s going on.

We picked a weekday and a weekend (see our Saturday protest) to cast the widest net for participation. We adjust the times and locations as we go — this move is one of those adjustments.

Hope to see you there.
