Early Voting Begins — and Last Day to Register
When
Sat, Oct 24, 2026 · 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Early voting in Broome County runs Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1 at four locations — and October 24 is also the last day to register to vote.
October 24 – November 1
Early voting this year is the safest and surest way to get your vote counted. Every ballot will be recorded each day, before the November 3rd election. Huge numbers before election day will make it more difficult to deny the results. Please encourage everyone you know to vote early, and to spread the word, so that this is a massive movement.
New York’s early voting period is a nine-day event, and Broome County registered voters can vote at any of the four Early Voting Center locations — not just the one nearest home.
Saturday, October 24 is also the last day to register to vote for this election.

ID usually isn’t needed
You can vote at any of the four early voting sites, usually without showing ID or any other paperwork.
If you have a mail-in ballot
- Make sure there are no marks on the paper other than filling in the circles — stray marks may cause the ballot to be rejected.
- Mail it as soon as you receive it to allow plenty of time for it to reach its destination. You can track your ballot at broomevotes.com to make sure it arrives.
- You can also hand your ballot to a worker at any early voting location, or at your own polling place on November 3rd.
